Fiction · Coming of Age · Asian American Voices

Stories rooted in memory, becoming, and the universal search for purpose - told by the girl who carried her lunchbox to school and learned the world had opinions about it.

"Writing the characters I wanted to read when I was young — Chinese American girls who are simply, fully, themselves."

About the Author

It’s me, Phyllis. I live in the Midwest with my husband and two boys, and I love storytelling. I believe every great story should leave you changed for the better.

I have always been a big reader, yet from a young age I always wondered, where are the characters like me? Now, I get to write those characters. Thank you for letting me share my stories with you!
